I have not found the new WordPress editor to be as easy to use as its predecessor, so I’ve decided to try BlogDesk, which another WordPress user recommended.
The first thing you need to do after starting BlogDesk for the first time is go to File | Manage Blogs to set up the blogs you want to publish your posts to.
Then, after you type a post, you use File | Publish Post to transfer it to your blog.
One BlogDesk feature I like is how easy it is to insert an image, including one that’s in the clipboard. The software even includes an image editor. The image below is one that I pasted from the clipboard.
One feature that it does not appear to have that I use regularly is the blockquote.
My initial impression of BlogDesk is positive. Not only can you download it for free, you can use it for free, though its creator welcomes donations.
You can enter the BlogDesk’s Web site here.
